Herb Zinger Burger Recipe!
Ingredients:
– 4 chicken breasts
– 1/4 cup of plain yogurt
– 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
– 2 teaspoons of paprika
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
– 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
– 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
– 4 burger buns
– 4 lettuce leaves
– 4 tomato slices
– 4 onion rings
– 4 cheese slices
For the herb sauce:
– 1/2 cup of plain yogurt
– 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
– 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
– 2 tablespoons of chopped basil
– 1 garlic clove, minced
– Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, whisk together the yogurt, lemon juice, paprika, salt, pepper and cayenne. Add the chicken breasts and coat them well with the marinade. Refrigerate for at least an hour or up to overnight.
2. In another small bowl, stir together the yogurt, mayonnaise, parsley, basil, garlic, salt and pepper. Refrigerate until ready to use.
3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a baking sheet. Place the flour in a shallow dish and dredge the chicken breasts in it, shaking off any excess. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for about 4 minutes per side or until golden and crisp. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes or until cooked through.
4. Cut the burger buns in half and toast them lightly. To assemble the burgers, spread some herb sauce on the bottom bun, then top with a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, an onion ring, a cheese slice and a chicken breast. Spread some more herb sauce on the top bun and place it over the chicken. Repeat with the remaining ingredients. Enjoy your herb zinger burgers!
